Dental
Health for Arlington was founded in 1993 as a result of a United
Way survey which identified dental care of disadvantaged families
as one of the top four needs in the Arlington area. The DHA Clinic was established to provide oral health care. A
pilot Preventive Program was
started in 1994 in two elementary schools. This program was
designed to stop the rampant decay and oral health problems of
low-income children in our community. Today, this serves twenty-four
low-income Arlington and Mansfield schools.
