DHA has received widespread recognition for its exemplary programs and innovative approach to dental care for low-income people.
	SMILES Program named National Model in Washington, D.C. by Pew Partnership
		As the result of a two year research project, SMILES was named a National Model for its ability to improve access to care and reduce tooth decay with a simple and cost effective program. See research results at www.pew-partnership.org.
	American Dental Association Award for Meritorious Service in Community Preventive Dentistry
		Awarded to us in 2000 by the American Dental Association. The judges stated that they "were impressed with the scope of the project and dedication to promoting oral health as a necessary component of comprehensive health care services."
	Presidents Service Award
		Awarded the President's Service Award from the Points Of Light Foundation in Washington, D.C.
	Association of Junior Leagues International/BMW Motor Cars Community Impact Merit Award
		Awarded to us at the International Convention of Junior Leagues in May, 1998. This international award is presented to organizations that have made major strides in creating collaborative solutions to community problems.
	United Way Group Volunteer Award
		Presented by the United Way of Metropolitan Tarrant County to DHA in April, 1998.
	Voice of Innovation Award
		The Tarrant County Youth Collaboration Council awarded this to us in November, 1997 for our School-based Preventive Program.
	1997 Arlington Club of the Year Award
		Awarded to DHA by the Arlington Star-Telegram in September, 1997.
	White House Dialogue in Washington, D.C.
		We were one of only 14 health care providers chosen to participate in a White House Dialogue in Washington, D.C. in November, 1995.
