2008 - Bank of America's Neighborhood Builder's Award

 High-performing nonprofits receive leadership development and substantial grant in flexible funding, join a network of peer organizations across the U.S. and have the opportunity to access capital in order to expand their impact in the community. Bank of America seeks to empower local organizations and connect them to tools for success. 

2007 - ADA's Community Preventative Dentistry Award

The American Dental Association (ADA) presented its highest honor to DHA in 2007! The Community Preventive Dentistry Award recognizes those individuals and organizations that have developed significant preventive dentistry projects. This is undoubtedly one of the highest dental awards in the nation and DHA is truly honored to be selected from so many prestigious programs and institutions!

2000 - ADA's Meritorious Service in Community - Preventative Dentistry

In 2000, the American Dental Association (ADA) recognized DHA's initiatives in preventative dentistry by presenting us with the Meritorious Service in Community - Preventive Dentistry. Award judges stated that they "were impressed with the scope of the project and dedication to promoting oral health as a necessary component of comprehensive health care services."

DHA was honored to receive The Presidential Service Award from the Points of Light Foundation in Washington, D.C. The Presidential Volunteer Service Award was started by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation in 2003 as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by example, inspired others to engage in volunteer service.
